Lokal. Digital. Gemeinsam. – Opportunity to Learn and Connect with Other Municipalities

Would you like to implement digital citizen participation in your municipality, but are unsure how to achieve this with limited resources? Our new project supports local community leaders for 18 months (starting in May 2026); with practical learning modules, workshops and a strong community.
What you can expect
Academy: Practical learning
To enable you to learn flexibly and at your own pace, you will receive learning materials on our three main topics (1) Practical use of digital participation at the local level, (2) Outreach participation with digital and analogue methods, and (3) Communication in conflict situations.
- Interactive learning modules with videos, texts, exercises and quizzes
- Online workshops for in-depth exchange and practical application
- Podcast series with experts and best practice examples
Community: Learning from each other
A peer-to-peer approach ensures exchange on an equal footing with other local community activists. To this end, we organise:
- Digital forum for exchange and collegial advice
- Monthly online meetups for networking
- On-site events to get to know each other in person
Why participate?
For your community! Digital participation works – even in small municipalities! With the right methods and a strong network behind you, you can engage citizens in a low-threshold manner, proactively address conflicts and strengthen local democracy.
For yourself! By participating, you will gain personal confidence, practical know-how and expertise in the field of digital participation, and have the opportunity to exchange ideas with colleagues who are facing similar challenges.
